Wild Amaranth Volunteered in the Garden

Oh joy! Wild Amaranth volunteered in the garden. Funny thing, last year I tried growing it and not one plant made it… I figured it was not a plant that wanted to grow in the garden. You know, given that I never use any insecticides, pesticides, fertilizers, and all… The insects LOVE amaranth!

But, this spring, in a completely different location in the garden, wild amaranth magically volunteered in massive quantities. I kid you not, this was one of the most amazing things!

In this video I show the plant and how I’m harvesting the seeds:

For most people this plant is a “weed”. Tsk tsk tsk, it is very tasty and a nutritional power house, not to mention it is a being that lives in the arms of Creation (i.e. a healing agent for disconnected/artificial humans).
